Carpe Diem...and the stream, and the trees, and the dirt...

The list of everything that represents The Update's volunteer weekend is pretty long. And we want you to capture as much of it as possible. So grab your ipod video, your cell phone, your point-and-shoot or your Canon PDX and shoot Saturday and/or Sunday volunteer activities. We'll leave it up to you to decide between video or still photos - just record central Ohio's tribute to the 40th anniversary of Earth Day.

We're looking for any and all creative captures. Submission to both contests is FREE and open to the public! Prizes will be awarded.

Video Contest

Deadline: Midnight, Tuesday, April 20

You can make an Earth Day music video, a docu-drama, an investigative reality expose, or the ever popular montage. All submissions will be accepted online, through Vimeo.com. On Earth Day, the winning video will be shown at the celebration in Franklin Park. The video will also be posted to our website on Friday, April 23 and will be poised for an afterlife at one or more spaces around town.
